Atkins diet, GM diet, South beach diet – when it comes to Indian sweets, all such fads go crashing out of the window!
No matter how calorie conscious we might be, gorging is the only thing on our mind when we are given a plate of malpuas!
Just in time for a slew of festivities, we thought of sharing a simple recipe with you!
3 tbsp Maida
1 tbsp Malai
A pinch of fennel
Mix the maida and milk in a bowl. Make sure there are no lumps in your paste.
Beat malai and add it to the batter.
Add fennel to the mixture.
Put 2 tbsp oil on a tawa.
Pour the batter on a low flame.
In a bowl mix equal amounts of sugar and water.
Put this mixture on boil to create your sugar syrup.
Pour the syrup over piping hot malpuas
