A summer without mangoes is like a birthday bash without a cake.
We know we don’t stand alone when it comes to waiting, each summer, for the many varieties to hit the market. Alphonso, langda, chausa, dusseri and the rest of the juicy clan is what makes summertime absolutely succulent.
Add a dash of sweet tang to a chutney or toss up a mango and avocado salsa – the indisputable king of fruits is quite benevolent when it comes to experimentation!
Showcasing more than 500 varieties of the fruit to indulge in, the International Mango Festival held every year is a mango-holics’ paradise! Satiate your sweet tooth with every luscious bite or put your fabulloso! mango eating skills to good use. There are plenty of competitions and activities to keep the young and old entertained.
And before you head for home, grab yourself a couple of organic mango jams, pickles and juices. They make for some really sweet reminders
The International Mango Festival will be held from 6th-8th July 2012 at Dilli Haat, Pitampura, Delhi, India.
