Deceptively pronounced as ‘My-kah’, Majka meaning motherland is an Indie fashion label by Arunima Majhi launched in July 2012.
A globally oriented tribute to indigenous textiles, Majka celebrates the fun factor so deeply embedded in the Indian tradition through the use of vivid colours and surprisingly delightful prints.
With one foot rooted in the glorious past and the other taking big strides in the new world order, Majka’s designs do not seem to be undergoing an identity crisis. Instead, they have been repeatedly been favoured by women with an eye to appreciate tasteful fusion.Check out Majka’s entire range of Ikat inspired fusion garments on fabulloso!

What are your favourite colours/materials to work with?
They keep changing with every collection! Although, the idea is to stay away from a certain shade of neon pink.
Which is that one thing you wish you had designed?
